Restoration of the 102 is under way, and we need your help.
Now you can help return to Roanoke’s streets the bus that for years defined transportation in the Roanoke Valley. City bus. School bus. Everybody’s bus. This 1958 GM Old Look was literally put out to pasture in Floyd County years ago, but the story didn’t end there. Thanks to the generosity of Frank Peters, the bus was donated to CC&T. After 27 years of sitting idle, we discovered that it is still in running condition and structurally sound. Anything that tough deserves a second chance.

Some of the things we need to restore this classic vehicle:

>Body work
>Mechanical work
>Transmission work
>Tires
>Re-chroming the bumpers
>Upholstery work
>PA system for tours
